Why is the construction sector always in crisis? Learn about the great paradox we have to overcome.

Why is the construction sector permanently in crisis?

Well, this is the great paradox of our industry. While we have an unlimited and growing deficit (demand) for housing worldwide, we have not been able to generate a product that is capable of satisfying that demand.

The question is, are we going to find different results if we keep doing the same thing?

Clearly not. We have been trying for many decades, and we have not found different results.

The current system only produces low quality, expensive housing that is beyond the reach of the average citizen. This has to change if we are to solve the global housing crisis. We have to find a way to produce high-quality, affordable housing on a large scale. Until we do, the construction sector will remain in crisis.

Although construction was a pioneering industry compared to other industries, it has lagged far behind in terms of productivity because it uses construction methods that are centuries, and in some cases millennia, old. That's right, we use the same construction techniques as our ancestors of a thousand years ago. The main reason for this is that construction is a very complex industry. This can make it difficult to adopt new technologies and methods. Another factor is that the construction industry is highly fragmented, with thousands of small businesses competing for work. This makes it hard for new ideas to gain traction. However, there are signs that the construction industry is starting to catch up. In recent years, there has been a growing focus on innovation and productivity, and new technologies are beginning to be adopted on a wider scale. As the construction industry continues to evolve, we can expect to see even more progress in the years to come.

More. How to implement creative solutions that address the affordability crisis.

As the world increasingly becomes more digitized, many industries are struggling to keep up with the times. This is especially true for the construction industry, which has been historically resistant to change. In order to ensure that the construction industry can keep pace with the rest of the world, it is essential that companies take steps to modernize their operations.

1)            In the long term, this means investing in research and development, as well as training professional staff to handle innovation and efficiency improvements.

2)            In the short term, companies should focus on acquiring building technologies that come with good advisory services. By taking these steps, construction companies will be able to accelerate their transformation and stay competitive in the ever-changing landscape of the 21st century.

What would be the cost of this transformation?

Well, this will depend on countless variables, and can be very different depending on the technology adopted. It could cost from several million to a few thousand dollars.

However, our proposal is not based on closing the doors of the "old" construction company from one day to the next, but on the contrary, to acquire a technology that has an excellent technical team that can accompany this process of change, and that also adapts to the economic reality of each company.

That is why, in Hüga Technology (winner of the Global Innovation Award of the NAHB), you can find really affordable plans (even one with a waived entry fee), and you can build houses with the same efficiency and quality as the most advanced industries on the planet.

The most important thing is to start now with the industrialization process, and to have companies that can accompany your change.

Despite the challenges, industrializing construction is essential to meeting the growing demand for housing and infrastructure. The benefits of industrialization include increased production, improved quality, and reduced costs. By increasing production, improving quality, and reducing costs, industrialization will help to meet the growing demand for housing and infrastructure.

Only those that embrace industrialization will be well positioned for near-term success.
